At an HBO premiere of The Newsroom, Olivia Munn stepped out on the red carpet looking like the ultimate bronzed goddess. Although a beach ceremony would be the obvious choice for this allover-tanned face, Shane Paish, the makeup artist who put together this look for Munn, said it could be just as stunning at a modern ceremony. “Just maybe don’t structure the brow as hard for a wedding—leave it slightly softer,” he said. To create her golden glow, Paish carved out Munn’s cheekbones and jawline with Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder, followed by a universal dusting of Laura Mercier Bronzing Pressed Powder on the face, shoulders, and chest. “This Laura Mercier powder is the best thing that I’ve ever used,” he said. After highlighting the cheeks with Dior Diorskin Ultra Shimmering Allover Face Powder and accentuating the apples with the coral Tom Ford Cheek Color in Flush, Paish worked on the eyes. He swirled hues from Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Golden Mink onto the lids to conjure up a metallic brown smoky eye, then rubbed the lightest shade from the quad along the bottom lash lines for definition. Two different mascaras dressed Munn’s lashes: Dior Diorshow Mascara for fullness and Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara to grab the bottom and inner lashes.
